Become a Writer
We are looking for artists, musicians, and writers to contribute to Aliveasart. If you are interested in writing a guest article for our site, you may submit your idea using the form below. Please read over a few of our rules beforehand, though. They aren’t that bad, really!
What are we looking for?
- Write-ups on upcoming arts-related events that are temporary or on-going in any city around the world.
- Reviews, interviews, and other promotional material related to newly established artists or musicians.
- Opinion pieces on innovative websites or design-related products that inspire and stimulate creativity.
- Short stories or discourse on current events that are in some way tied to art and entertainment.
The submission process
- Submit your idea using the form below, and wait for approval.
- Email all accompanying media (e.g. pictures, videos, music) to submissions@aliveasart.com.
- Write and re-submit the article.
- Please note: We reserve the right to edit your prose to conform to our standards and practices. Additionally, the content that you provide must be your original work. We don’t like plagiarism here!
Statements on ownership
- As the author, you may reference and link to the article in your personal or professional works. You may not, however, sell or redistribute the content to any other website.
- You may publish your article offline, so long as it is not republished online.
Clarification on compensation
- At the moment, we are not offering monetary compensation for guest articles. However, as our traffic grows and we perform analysis on key contributing factors to that growth, we will amend our policies accordingly to compensate guest authors appropriately!
- You will be given name recognition on the site, and you may promote your own article to your heart’s content. Yes, personal site links are allowed.
Submission specifications
- Include a text file as a Microsoft Word document.
- Ensure that your article has been checked for spelling and grammatical errors.
- Include all content and source files in a zip file, and email it to submissions@aliveasart.com.
