1. Creators Inn
(via @michaelnobbs)
I loved this idea – there really should more places like this. Creators Inn is an innovative joint project by Swedish fashion brand Elvine and design agency Next Century Modern. It offers free short-term accommodation for creative people, with the aims of promoting the surrounding area and attracting artistically-inclined travelers. Guests are offered wireless internet, towels, bathrobes, slippers and grooming products free of charge. I’m already planning my next trip to Europe just because of this place. Who is with me?
2. Tree Musician – Diego Stocco
(via @Minervity)
Diego Stocco blew me away when I saw how he made music with a tree. For those whom are hip-hop afficionados, like me, this video is a must-see. Trust me, do it. If you dig Stocco’s tree beats, you shouldn’t stop here. Head over to his website for more goodies like it. This guy knows how to make music with sand – now that’s talent!
3. Photo Manipulations With Unique Concepts
(via @kimsherell)
Gotta let out some steam? Talk to this guy. Or, just browse through this amusing collection of photographs. While I am mostly a fan of raw, un-doctored imagery, there is no question that these artists know how to paint an entertaining picture.
4. Trushu’s Flikr Stream
(via @designglut)
Every once in a while I stumble across an image that completely stops me in my tracks. This one certainly falls into that category. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the back story on these rocky little chatterboxes. It’s a true shame – I just love them!
5. Shattered Art by Brock Davis
(via @picocool)
Brock Davis has got to be one of my favorite artist discoveries thus far. But I won’t give too much away, as I am writing a review about him as we speak. I find Davis’s shattered art series super impressive. He creates some spectacular pieces that take detail to a whole new level.
