ArtCrawl//CoExist (Houston)
WHAT: 17th Annual Artist’s Warehouse Crawl
DATE: Saturday, November 21, 2009
TIME: 10 AM-9 PM
WHERE: The Artists Warehouse District
As if Thanksgiving isn’t enough to look forward to, here is a fantastic Fall event to check out if you are in or around the Houston metropolitan area. On Saturday, November 21st, the artists of the Warehouse District just north of downtown Houston will collaborate for ARTCRAWL. Over 100 participants will open their studios, galleries, and homes to the public. Among noted guests will be Diverse Works and Fotofest, two internationally recognized non-profit organizations that will present exhibitions.
If you plan on taking part in the ARTCRAWL, be sure to stop by the Dakota Lofts, where my friend Saba Jawda will be presenting her work. Jawda shows her paintings at the Lofts on a permanent basis, but for this event she is collaborating with photographer Natalie Davis. Davis has printed some of her most striking photos onto canvas, and Jawda has added her painter’s touch to parts she wanted to evoke further. This should be a great exhibition – try your best to check it out!

Note: Maps will be available at Motherdog Studios, ARTCRAWL headquarters, on the dat of the event. To get more information in the meantime, visit the official ARTCRAWL website.
