What gets me excited about experimental typography is the fact that almost anyone can relate to it. Although languages are not, words themselves are universal. Last week I blogged about Facebook’s latest facelift, pointing out the company’s steps to retain users who have given in to the Twitter craze.
Twitter is a back-end micro-blogging platform through which users post text-based updates up to 140 bytes in length. The service syncs with other web-based applications, like Facebook, and allows subscribers to post tweets without ever having to visit the site itself. The extensibility of Twitter has made it a widely popular service, one that has given way to endless professional and personal possibilities.
