As many of you know, I am spending the summer in a more temperate climate than New York City: Houston, Texas. We don’t have visually kidnapped billboards down here, and we certainly don’t have post-it note art on every corner. However, we are more creative a community than one might think. Get in your car and race on over to Houston, Texas, because the incredibly fun Art Car Parade is this weekend! I highly recommend this event, not only because it takes place in my hometown, but also because it is a perfect example of how art plays an integral part in everyone’s daily life.
